About

Andrew Gurgish Artist · Illustrator · Art Director · Visual Developer

I build visual worlds — from hand-drawn mythology and film posters to working digital interfaces. The same hand that draws a character also designs the page it lives on.

The Idea

Images that remember.

I work between two worlds that most people keep apart — the drawing and the interface. One begins with a line on paper and a story that doesn't exist yet. The other ends with a page that loads fast, reads clearly, and works for a real visitor.

For me they are the same craft. A character, a film poster, an event identity, a landing page — each is an attempt to give a feeling a form strong enough to be remembered. I care less about decoration and more about visual memory: the single image a project leaves behind.

Every piece starts as a small myth — an inner story — before it becomes structure, rhythm, and finally something you can use. That movement, from image to system to working experience, is the whole method.

The Path · 01—04

From hand to interface.

01

Drawing

It began with the hand — characters, figures, and mythologies searching for their own visual language.

02

Direction

Single images grew into systems: posters, covers, and event identities with a consistent visual voice.

03

Cinema

Film and key-art work — composition, light, and atmosphere built to read instantly and stay in memory.

04

Interface

The image became responsive: art-directed WordPress pages where the visual world finally goes live.
